All-on-four therapy concept of the edentulous jaw consists of placing four dental implants and replacing twelve teeth in one jaw. Due to progressive bone loss in lateral regions of the lower and upper jaw or increase (pneumatisation) of maxillary sinus in the upper jaw and proximity of the mandibular nerve in the lower one, we often need big bone augmentations, so that we can ensure adequate bone volume for the integration of implants.
All-on-four therapy treatment enables rehabilitation of all lost teeth without the necessary bone augmentations. What is it about? There is often enough bone volume in the anterior part of the jaw to place the implants. By modifying the technique of an implant bed preparation, lateral implants are placed with inclination, so that the load field is increased, and consequently, we can replace a series of twelve teeth with the placement of only four dental implants.
